Today is the Dragon Boat Festival. It’s a traditional Chinese holiday that I really like. In the morning, my family and I went to the park to watch the dragon boat race. The boats were colorful and fast. People were shouting and cheering for their teams. It was very exciting.

After the race, we went home and had lunch together. My mom cooked zongzi, which are sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves. They taste delicious! I also ate some eggs that were dyed red, which is a custom to bring good luck.

In the afternoon, I helped my grandmother make some paper flowers and hang them on the door. She said it can keep away bad things. I learned a lot about the festival today. It’s not only about food and fun, but also about remembering the story of Qu Yuan, a famous poet from ancient times.

I feel happy and lucky to be part of this tradition. I hope I can celebrate this festival with my family every year.
