March 12th is Tree Planting Day in China. It is a special day when people come together to plant trees and protect the environment. This year, my school organized an activity on this day, and I was very excited to take part in it.

Early in the morning, we gathered at the school gate. Our teacher gave us some instructions about how to plant trees properly. She told us that planting trees is not only fun but also very important for the earth. After that, we went to a nearby park by bus. There were many students and teachers there, all ready to work together.

We were divided into small groups. Each group had a different task. Some of us dug holes, some carried saplings, and others watered the newly planted trees. Although the work was a bit tiring, everyone was happy and full of energy. I helped my friend dig a hole and then planted a small tree with him. We made sure the roots were covered well and the soil was packed tightly.

After finishing our work, we took a photo together. It was a great moment. The sun was shining, and the air was fresh. We felt proud of what we had done. Not only did we plant trees, but we also learned the importance of protecting nature.

Tree Planting Day reminds us that every small action can make a big difference. I hope that more people will join in such activities and help make our planet greener and healthier.
