This week was quite eventful for me. As a high school freshman, I found myself juggling between studies and extracurricular activities. On Monday, I had my first chemistry quiz of the semester. It wasn’t an easy test, but I managed to finish it with confidence. I reviewed my notes thoroughly over the weekend, which really helped during the exam.
Tuesday brought a new challenge—a group project in history class. My teammates and I decided to focus on ancient civilizations, specifically the Mayans. We spent our lunch breaks researching and creating a presentation. It was fun working together, and we learned a lot about teamwork.
Wednesday was all about sports. I joined the basketball team after school, and it turned out to be more exciting than I expected. Running drills and practicing shots gave me a great workout. Plus, meeting new friends who share the same passion made the experience even better.
Thursday was dedicated to English literature. Our teacher introduced us to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. While some parts were hard to understand at first, discussing them in class made the story come alive. I realized how timeless love stories can still resonate today.
Friday marked the end of another busy week. After attending my math tutoring session in the morning, I spent the afternoon reading a novel I borrowed from the library. It was a nice way to unwind before the weekend.
Overall, this week taught me the importance of balancing academics with personal interests. I’m looking forward to what next week holds!
